About Greg Weir
Greg Weir has more than 25 years’ experience in the Software and Internet industries. He started his online career with an online Bulletin Board in 1981 and between 1982 and 1986, owned and operated a successful retail computer store in Toronto. He continued to develop software and online tools while working as a radio announcer for 5 years before returning to the industry full time as the webmaster for Canada’s largest independent Internet Service Provider, Internet Direct. When Internet Direct acquired Tucows, Greg managed the technical and operations components for the Tucows software download sites. In 2003 Greg became Director, Content Division for Tucows and became responsible for all aspects of the content division including operations, business and sales. Mr. Weir also operates an Independent Software Vendor business producing server monitoring software and has sat on the Board of Directors for the Association of Shareware Professionals. Greg left Tucows in 2011 to work primarily on Internet Marketing and SEO.
Greg studied Computer Engineering, Project Management and Radio Broadcasting at Humber College and received degrees in Psychology and Mass Communication from York University.
Greg's wide breadth of knowledge in Internet Technologies, human behaviour and marketing strategies, naturally led him to to his career in Internet Development and SEO.
