Organic Search Engine Optimization Natural Results

Organic Search Optimization - Natural Results

Organic web site optimization is fundamental to the success of the web site. Essentially the completion of an Organic Search Optimization Program ensures many of the critical web site elements are correctly completed and fully accessible to both human users and Search Engines.

The power of Organic Search Optimization is actually quite similar to other Organic products. Organic products are naturally good for the consumer and this holds true even when using the term Organic when referencing web design and promotion.

Organically Search Optimized web sites focus on the elements of a web site which are important to humans, if this is completed properly the flow on effect to the Search Engine occurs as a matter of course.

Keywords and Organic Search Optimization

Regular readers of my Blogs will have no doubt of the importance I place on Keywords and Keyword phrases. Looking at keywords and phrases from the “Natural” perspective does in many ways make it quite clear the importance of good, high quality keyword research.

On completion of a comprehensive keyword research program you should have an extensive list of keywords which are used by Internet users to find your business’s products and services.

Now take a look the keyword phrases from your list, an example might be “Electric Bass Guitars”. Now, when you look at that keyword phrase is it not natural to think Internet users would type that phrase into the Search Engine assuming they will arrive at a web site relevant to that topic?

Take that a step further, “Electric Bass Guitar Sales Online”, now you are really naturally targeting Internet users who will be thinking along those lines and wanting to buy an Electric Bass Guitar online. And the thought processes here are natural, both humans and Search Engines will quickly be able to determine web site topic and relevance.

Content and Organic Search Optimization

Integration of your keywords naturally into your content is where the real power of Organic Search Optimization is to be found. Well written content which naturally uses your keywords and phrases will interest and capture your visitor’s attention. This is after all the topic which is of interest to them.

Providing the content is written naturally, meaning natural use of the keywords and phrases will ensure the content will be easy to read and interpret. Overuse of keywords in the content to impress the Search Engines does not work, and makes the content seem unnatural and difficult to read. And of course, the Search Engines are very sophisticated and are able to distinguish when over use of a keyword or phrase is occurring, and of course the reader will pick up on this as well.

Neither Search Engine nor Human likes to be spammed, and both will penalize the web site owner in some way for the over and unnatural use of keywords and phrases within the web site content.

Navigation and Organic Search Optimization

Web site navigation is primarily designed for human use and should offer visitors an intuitive method to travel the web site and reach the content which is important to them. A major component which is important to both Humans and Search Engines is the labeling of links within the web site.

Apart for a navigation bar, internal web site links incorporating Anchor Text using the keywords offers easy identification of what a user is likely to find on clicking a link and offers valuable information to Search Engines on topic and relevance of web pages.

What works for humans however, does not necessarily work for the Search Engine software which crawls web sites to index web pages for categorization and placement in Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs).

When you think of natural and web design, HTML is the core programming language used to develop web sites, anything other than HTML may be considered a high bred. JavaScript is hugely popular and widely used but be warned, JavaScript navigation systems although working well for humans, is not overly Search Engine friendly having the potential to block Search Engine software used to index web pages. If the Search Engine cannot index your web page you will not be found in the results pages.

Google has made improvements to their ability to crawl JavaScript based navigation systems but I do not feel this has been perfected. If you insist on a JavaScript navigation system, ensure you have a natural HTML navigation which is accessible to Search Engines. (Web page footers are ideal for this)

The Other Natural Elements

Organic Search Optimization requires various elements to be in sync. These elements are primarily the Search Optimization structure of the content and web page programming elements.

The Organic Search Optimization Content Structure

Developing the structure of the content is not a lot different in a web page than it is in a business or academic report. Headings are important for readers to identify topic and importance. In web page code the tags H1, H2 etc are required to create headings which portray the topic and importance to both Humans and Search Engines.

Description META Tag is often used as the snippet in Search Engine Results. A well written short description which includes a call to action and of course the keyword phrase in this case “Electric Bass Guitar Sales Online” will naturally encourage your link to be clicked.

Organic Search Optimization – Conclusion

Organic Search Optimization is beneficial to business due to its effectiveness in creating a web site that is very user focused. Add to the fact that over 80% of Internet users click on an Organic search result prior to a paid result and Organic Search Optimization should be prioritized in your business’s online marketing strategy.

Unlike other forms of Internet Marketing a web site which has been Organically Search Optimized offers long term benefits and results.
